About the Speaker Series

The “Engaged Anekāntavāda” speaker series seeks to address the frequently asked question, “How can I engage the philosophical tools of anekāntavāda in my everyday life?” Each event hosts a scholar who will present anekāntavāda in dialogue with questions and concerns of everyday relevance.

Following each presentation, Professor Anil Mundra (University of California, Santa Barbara) will moderate a dynamic discussion between the presenter and the audience, as we collectively address anekāntavāda’s contemporary relevance.

Audience participants will walk away with a more refined sense of how anekāntavāda might be engaged with issues of contemporary concern, as well as an understanding of the complexity of thinking through anekāntavāda’s everyday relevance in their own daily lives.

“Engaged Anekāntavāda” is a collaborative speaker series brought to you by University of California, Santa Barbara and Arihanta Institute.

This speaker series has been made possible through the generosity of the Uberoi Foundation.
